OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) 

The terminology OEM means Original Equipment Manufacture.  This term is mainly used to define the company responsible for manufacturing or producing the products for sales.   In many situations, the term OEM sometimes are also used to define companies that buy products from the original manufacture and resold as their own.  The largest OEM company in the world by scale is Foxconn, which is a Taiwanese electronics company with clients including Apple, Dell, Google, Huawei, just to name a few. 

OEM in many times, are also referred to the maker of the system that includes other companies' subsystems.  Don't confuse OEM with ODM.  ODM means Original Design Manufacture, which refers to the company that designs and manufactures a product as specified and eventually branded by another party for sale.  Most ODM are used in international trade, where the local ODM is used to produce products for a foreign company that sees advantage in the deal, whether it's lower labor costs, proximity to markets,  or using specific technology or patented technologies owned by the ODM.
